Alkasim Abdulkadir is a Communications Specialist he currently works as the Head of Media and Communications at Presidential Committee on North East Initiative.  He has also worked as a content producer for BBC Media Action and covered stories for CNN International, BBC World Service and as a news analyst and media fixer for Aljazeera and CCTV, his pieces have been featured in Guardian UK and Radio Netherlands. He won the 2012 Future Awards for Excellence in Journalism Award for his work on security and conflicts. He was an RNTC media delegate to the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague 2014.

He is a member of several organisations and think tanks among them is UK based Nigerian Security Network NSN he was appointed a member and spokesperson of the Presidential Committee on Victims Support Fund a 30 Billion Naira interventionist Fund for the North East. In 2015 he was invited as panelist to speak on Africa’s civil society place in a globalized space at the Oxford Africa Union Conference at Oxford University.  He is passionate about youth mentorship and reducing poverty through social entrepreneurship,  among his hobbies are photography and traveling.
