Halima Atta studied pharmacy and graduated from Keele University, UK. She currently work at National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Halima is passionate about helping people and bringing out the best in every situation and hence her love for charities which includes being a volunteer for Youth4Youth (y4y)  foundation and the  British Heart Foundation charity shop in the UK. 
She is inspired by people’s stories and journeys and how different circumstances has shaped the entire course of their lives. 
She is excited being part of the Ted talk organisers and looks forward to bringing positive ideas to people all around the world.

Nosike Nwigene is a Digital Marketing and Communications Consultant with a strong passion for helping businesses/organisations that understand the power of online perception and its necessity in the world we live in today. A believer in conversation and its capacity to effect positive change, he sees TEDx Maitama as an instrument for generating questions
within us all that will, in turn, result in action that benefits our communities

Jeremiah has a degree in Politics from the National Open University of Nigeria. He currently works as an Audio Engineer at Option A International Resources and Dunamis International Gospel Center.

 Jeremiah enjoys being an audio engineer and has gained experience over the past few years. He looks forward to teaching his skills to others. He enjoys playing basketball and other mind blowing games.

David Idunnuoluwa is junior consultant at Public and Private Sector Development Initiative (PPSDI) where he provides advisory services on partnerships between Government agencies, private firms and NGOs/foundations all over Africa. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Landmark University.

In 2017, David was program officer for Leadway Assurance Company’s give-back project and provided direction in shaping the vision of the L-GOTOS (Leadway Goes to School) project.

David Idunnuoluwa has extensive experience in advocacy and capacity building working with organisations involved in humanitarian services, promotion of the girl child, SME development.He is also a member of The Platform Leadership Community.

Rabiatu Amira is a graduate of Economics with Journalism and an unofficial Ambassador of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She is someone who is on the pursuit of a system of society and civic engagement that is sustainable and inclusive whilst also protecting our environment and different aspects of our daily life.

Her areas of interest include Sustainable development, gender and human rights issues, Model United Nations, writing and using new media to tell the stories that matter. She has a great interest in learning about cultures, exploring new cities and she is currently self-studying Korean at intermediate level.
Rabiatu believes that platforms such as Ted are the perfect opportunities to teach people about topics and ideas that they may not have access to in a traditional classroom, in a way that is not just engaging but inspiring a social movement of positive change that the world needs today.

Farouk Akinbola is an Abuja-based Photographer & Filmmaker, Known for his black & White portraits. Farouk is also the founder of Envy365 Creative Media & Shop365 Africa.

Farouk is a graduate of Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge, where he studied BA(Hons) Business & Finance and Salford University, Manchester where is also bagged an MSc degree in Human Resource Management & Development. Because of his love for photography he went further to London School of Photography to enhance his photography skills for a year.

Akujor Emeka Emmanuel is a well seasoned and gifted Theatre Arts Performer. He has worked on several projects in Abuja and beyond; as well as other spectacular stage productions as a Creative Director, Actor, Dancer, Singer and Stage Manager. He also functions as an MC for events. He is very passionate about God, life, and people, especially children; in helping them realise and develop their potential and skill.

Emeka currently works on a part time basis at El Amin International School, Abuja as a drama teacher, as well as an event organiser/planner. He also works at American International School, Abuja where he trains kids on the dynamics of acting and performance. 

He is the Stage Manager for TEDx Maitama.

Khadija Abubakar is a scientist and has recently completed her masters degree in translational oncology. She’s been a part of Y4Y since its inception. She became a part of the R2E (right2education) team, a charity organisation dedicated to empowering youths to realise and reach their potential, and this has formed the basis for her involvement in organisations such as these. She finds it humbling to be able to contribute to the growth of youth through these platforms.

 Khadija has been involved in a variety campaigns whilst in the university and hopes to incorporate what she’s learnt to impact change in the community, especially in raising more awareness about cancer.

Saleh is a highly motivated individual passionate about helping people and improving human interaction. He believes in creativity, open mindedness and harmony.The skills and lessons he learned after obtaining his degree in Architecture from Leicester School of Architecture gave him an avenue to develop a creative relationship with the people he meets and the places he finds himself.

TEDX gives people an opportunity to reflect on new issues and situations arising everyday and can be used as an important tool to inform and educate our society. This is why he feels fulfilled to be Part of the team and to Head the technical design team.

Emeka Okolo is a  filmmaker, moving image specialist, visual consultant and photographer. He runs Papilonmexy Film Studios and is the curator the TV show “Wedding Doctors”. His company is working on determining trends in the Entertainment Industry to curate local content and stories. Emmanuel has also made a few appearances on screen as an actor. 

While obtaining his Masters Degree in MA Moving Image from University of South Wales Emeka is very excited to be part of the team and organization. He likes to reflect on the world we live in, but also what his position is within this world. He like the idea to work for an organization that inspires people to reflect about philosophy, science, politics, culture, art, technology and many more. Every individual has a story to tell, we only have to listen so that we can learn from them. 

Emeka loves creating content, telling stories and connecting people, and TED gives him the perfect opportunity for this!
