A long-time TED supporter, Hajara is a writer, an Architect-in-Training and a graduate of the Kent School of Architecture. She is currently working as an architectural assistant and is interested in examining the role of cities and urban environments in reducing global inequalities. She believes in the relevance of Vernacular Architecture and in the promotion and appreciation of traditional building techniques.
Hajara believes TEDx is vital as it emphasises the power and the importance of telling our own stories. Her all time favourite TED talks are Chimamanda Adichie’s ‘Danger of a Single Story’ and Alejandro Aravena’s ‘Architectural Philosophy’
